Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], September 7: Music director, composer, singer and guitarist Aikarth Purohit has added another significant milestone to his musical journey by becoming a member of the Music Composers Association of India (MCAI).

Established in 1958 by eminent Indian film music composers, MCAI is an association dedicated to representing and supporting music composers and professionals from across the industry.

For Aikarth Purohit, the association marks a stronger connection with the professional music fraternity and comes at an important phase of his career. Aikarth began his musical journey in 2013 and went on to establish Baselard Studios in Udaipur, building a career spanning music production, composition, recording and sound.

Purohit has also made his mark in the Hindi film industry. His credits include The Sabarmati Report (2024), where he is credited as a music composer, along with projects such as Shahi Funeral and Sagwaan. His name also features in the music credits of The Sabarmati Report alongside established composers including Anu Malik, Arko, Akhil Sachdeva, Kartik Kush and Ramashrit Joshi.

Coming from Udaipur, Rajasthan, Aikarth has steadily expanded his work from independent music and studio production to Bollywood and commercial projects. His association with the music industry also includes work connected with leading entertainment and music companies.

Speaking about the new association, Purohit expressed his happiness at becoming part of MCAI and described it as “a new chapter and a stronger connection with the music fraternity.”

With his growing body of work and now his association with MCAI, Aikarth Purohit continues to strengthen his presence in the Indian music industry while carrying forward his journey from Udaipur to the national entertainment landscape.
