The question “What kind of person are you?” sounds so simple, but yet answering it is very tricky and challenging. Nitin Goswami, currently starring in Deewani, exemplifies this phenomenon. He says he knows and understands himself well.
“I only need four words to describe me - ‘I am the best’. Actually, I've known myself for a few years now, and I know that I think well. I understand my thoughts, so when any negative feelings or thoughts come, I change them to positive ones. Now, I know what kind of person I am—a very positive person. I always try to ensure that no one faces any problems or harm because of me,” he said.   When it comes to our personalities, he believes we present different sides of ourselves to different sets of people. “Actually, in our industry, the first thing is that we act when we are in front of the camera. On different sets with different kinds of people, we learn how to behave accordingly,” he said.
“We want to talk nicely to people based on their roles—how to be with the director, spot boy, or producers. It all happens automatically. Wherever you go, you try to make sure that both you and the other person are comfortable. It's not about different sides; your body automatically reacts to the situation,” he added.   Nitin also mentioned that there is a side of us we let out when no one is watching. He said, “When no one is watching, that's the real you. How you eat, how you sleep, how you dress, how you behave, and how you talk to yourself are all different. Automatically, you don't want to react the same way to others. I certainly don't want to.”
“There's a big difference between how I am in front of everyone and how I am when I'm alone. In front of others, I try to be something for everyone, ensuring they are comfortable with my vibe. But when I'm alone, I live for myself,” he added.
