During a conversation with fellow contestants after wrestler Sangeeta Phogat’s emotional exit due to a family emergency, Kiku opened up about losing his parents just two years ago. He revealed that while he was in the US, he missed answering his mother’s last phone call—something that still weighs heavily on him.

“I was in the US two years back and my mother passed away. You take time to come to terms—you’re at the airport, you’re an actor, people are coming to you for photos. I didn’t answer her last phone call. I thought I would call her tomorrow since I was busy, and the next day she was not there,” Kiku shared with teary eyes.

The tragedy didn’t end there. Just 45 days after his mother’s demise, his father also passed away. Speaking about the deep pain his father went through, Kiku said, “He couldn’t handle the loss. After a certain age, your partner is irreplaceable.”

Kiku, who is often seen spreading joy on screen, used this moment to urge everyone to value their loved ones. “I don’t know about everyone’s life, but please be close to your loved ones, spend time with them, call them, stay in touch,” he said, leaving many in the house emotional.
