Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh) [India], September 14: Hindu College, Moradabad successfully hosted the International Conference on “Climate Change, Ozone Layer Protection & Environmental Sustainability” (ICCOLES 2026) at the college auditorium from 10:00 a.m. in hybrid mode. The conference brought together eminent academicians, researchers and experts from India and abroad to deliberate on pressing environmental challenges, climate change and the protection of the ozone layer.

The conference was organised under the esteemed guidance of Chief Patron Hon’ble Sh. Rajeev Kothiwal, Chancellor, IFTM University, and Patron Hon’ble Sh. Amit Kothiwal, Manager, Hindu College, with Prof. S.S. Rawat, Principal, Hindu College, serving as the Patron.

The programme was graced by Sh. Mange Ram Chauhan (P.C.S.), Deputy Housing Commissioner, Awas Evam Vikas Parishad, Bareilly Zone, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Manohar Lal, Department of Chemistry, Zakir Husain Delhi College, University of Delhi, attended as the Guest of Honour, while Dr. Vikas Gupta, Professor and Dean, Faculty of Science, Motherhood University, Roorkee, joined as the Special Guest.

The academic sessions were enriched by distinguished national and international resource persons, including Prof. Rahul Dutta, Mendel University, Brno, Czech Republic; Prof. Moon Al-Wafi, New York Medical College, USA; Prof. Rupesh Gupta, Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi; and Prof. R. Mishra, Department of Chemistry, IIT BHU, Banaras. Several experts addressed the participants through online platforms, giving the conference an international academic dimension.

A major highlight of ICCOLES 2026 was the enthusiastic participation of research scholars and students from M.Sc. Chemistry, M.Sc. Physics, M.Sc. Mathematics and M.A. Geography. The participants presented their original research papers in APA style, focusing on contemporary issues related to climate change, environmental sustainability, ozone layer protection and sustainable development. The conference also provided an academic platform for discussions on the possibility of publishing quality research in reputed international journals.

The successful execution of the conference was supported by the dedicated Organising Committee comprising Prof. S.K. Sharma, Prof. Shyam Singh, Prof. Satyendra Kumar, Dr. Dilip Kumar, Mr. Viresh Kumar, Mr. Ashish Bajpai and Dr. Ravikant Divakar.

Dr. Alka, Convenor of the conference, played a pivotal role in the overall planning, coordination and professional management of ICCOLES 2026. Her continuous involvement, effective leadership and close coordination with the organising team contributed significantly to the smooth and systematic conduct of the conference. Her dedicated efforts in managing the various academic and organisational aspects of the event were widely appreciated by the organisers and participants. Prof. Anil Kumar, Co-Convenor, also made valuable contributions towards the successful conduct of the conference.

The conference concluded with an emphasis on strengthening scientific research, promoting environmental awareness and encouraging collective efforts towards sustainable and environmentally responsible development.
