Ganesh Chaturthi is on August 31 and Mumbai is getting ready to celebrate it in a big way this time after two-and-a-half years of Covid related restrictions. The spirits are high as everyone is preparing for the festival. Ziddi Dil Maane Na actor Aditya Deshmukh too sounds excited about the festival.
“I wish everyone a very happy and prosperous Ganesh Chaturthi. Every year we bring Ganpati at our house for one and half days. We celebrate it in a very special way. It’s a fact that Ganesh ji brings in all the happiness and takes all our sadness away. This is what we expect from him every year and he does it every time,” smiles the actor.
This time the Covid cases are less and the celebration is going to be full on. “We celebrated it even during Covid but didn’t have guests at home and it was a strict family affair. This time, all my friends, cousins will come to spend quality time together. Every year during Ganpati I am invited to my school. I think that whenever Ganpati comes you need to be carefree because God is with us everywhere to take care of us,” he says, adding that they plan to keep Ganpati for five days.
About his wishes to Bappa this year, Aditya adds, “Whenever Bappa comes, he always brings something with him for me. This time, I want him to give me more and more work and keep me busy throughout the year, and I wish that Ziddi Dil Maane Na season 2 comes very soon. I also want him to take care of my mom and dad. My mom wasn’t keeping well for a couple of days and I had to cancel all my plans. Now she’s much better, but I want her to be all healthy and happy like before and my dad too. I can’t wait for Bappa to come home and bless us with happiness.”
